OIL SPECULATION - REAL PEOPLE GETTING RICH OFF OF YOU AND ME
I'm going to keep this real short. Oil broke the hundred dollar barrier on September 16th. That is it broke below $100. It went down, not up. This is the first time it's been below $100 since April. Critical Thinkers stand up.
ALL PORCH-MONKEYS JUST PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SIT BACK AND BE QUIET.

I need you all to understand the truth. When I tell you that speculation is truly baked into the price of oil, the proof is right in front of you. We have weathered Hurricane Ike, and though oil prices spiked due to some small panic about production at refineries in Houston, they are back down. People, you have to understand the world around you. Don't be ignorant spoons. Don't be side-saddle porch-monkeys, riding along with a coke and a smile, listening to richer, more clever (not necessarily smarter), people dictate to you. Our economy is not sound as a pound. Yet they tell you to go out and buy stuff! Drive, drive, drive.

I had to throw this picture back in again. It was at the Republican Convention that we heard Michael Steele the chairman of GOPAC, and the former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, coin a new catchphrase for Republicans nationwide, Drill Baby Drill!
People, I think you already know that I support drilling. I would even urge our government to just go ahead and make the announcement that we're going to do it. Like I've said before, this is good for twenty or thirty points off the cost of a barrel of oil. Well, maybe not so much now that we've gone lower due to concerns of a global recession after MeltDown Monday. Still, Drill Baby Drill, is just silly. It's not silly on the surface. It's silly because you can see and feel the Republican masses foaming at the mouth for black gold. They're heads are filled with emotion, and they've stopped thinking.
DRILLING IS ONLY A PART OF THE SOLUTION. A REALLY SMALL PART!
It's time people. Those of you that don't dance on the porch singing Kumbaya Drill Baby Drill, make a statement! Stand up and be heard! We need to shift the energy basis of our economy. We need to leverage our technology. We need to harness the minds of our brilliant fellow Americans. We need to work starting today making Black Gold a smaller part of our overall energy picture.
SHIFT THE ECONOMY!
