SARAH PALIN REVISITED - MY APOLOGY AND CALL TO PROPER ACTION
Okay, my brother and I had a very frank discussion yesterday about the Sarah Palin blog entry. We were both quite proud of the information I relayed. I thought I had done a fairly good job. Then, we both spoke with my wife. She brought us back down to Earth.
Now, first let me say this, my wife is a Critical Thinker. She doesn't have a high degree of tolerance for ignorance, and will not even finish reading something if she feels it does not have merit. She read the Sarah Palin entry, and simply shook her head. And you know what? She was right. If all my effort, all my passion, all my energy should be going towards spreading the movement of Critical Thinking skills, then I did not do this with the Palin piece. It was good, but it was an Op Ed piece. My emotion fell through the cracks, and created a gaping hole in the article. I did not use the tools in order to enforce rational thought, and arrive at a decision based on sound, but simple reasoning. The Palin article was my opinion. It was my emotion. It was my personal editiorial, and editorials are not what this blog as about. And so, to you all, I apologize. Now, I will try this again. I will use the tool to examine the popular Governor of Alaska. I will ask questions. Then, I will divivine a conclusion. Let's begin.
